Hagrid Goes Off To The Leaky Cauldron
About
Hagrid Goes Off To The Leaky Cauldron, also known as Hagrid Fucks Off To The Pub, refers to a line from the PlayStation 1 video game Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone in which the game's infamous rendering of Hagrid tells Harry that he's going to the Leaky Cauldron. The line was popularized on TikTok in mid-2022 and has since been used in skits in which people use filters to make their faces look as blocky as PS1 Hagrid's, pairing the sound with humorous captions and skits.
Origin
On May 20th, 2022, the TikTok account @psmemories[1] posted a scene from the PlayStation game Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone in which Hagrid informs Harry that he's headed to the Leaky Cauldron, a wizarding pub and inn located in the series' universe. They captioned the clip, "Hagrid fucks off to the pub and leaves a child to do his work." The clip gained over 347,000 likes in one month (shown below).
